Rules

Roleplay

  1. Unless stated otherwise, the server rules always apply.
  2. By joining the roleplay section, you agree to behave kindly and considerately towards your fellow players and the mods. Should a conflict arise that you cannot peacefully sort out between yourselves, please contact the mods privately and we will do our best to help.
  3. IC ≠ OOC. People are not their characters and vice versa, please do not confuse the line between them.
  4. No god-modding, info-modding, metagaming, fourth-walling or similar actions are allowed.
  5. People may select roles for if they want to do solo, duo or group play as well as if they are interested in using the STA rules/format or playing freeform. They may select any or all of these options if they are up for more than one style of play. Please check their profile or ask them if you are interested in playing with them! The Ready Room channel is there for people looking for a group or just wanting to chat out of character and riff off of each other.
  6. Always ask before jumping in on a roleplay thread that doesn't explicitly say anyone is welcome.
  7. You must use appropriate content ratings for anything you post. The ratings are tag options in the roleplay forums so it's just an extra few clicks for you. Change the rating if the content changes and if you can't work out how, ask a mod.
  8. Please also warn about any potentially triggering topics. You're not going to be able to get them all but just put in a good-faith effort, especially for obvious things like violence, self-harm, drugs, eating disorders, etc. Ideally, this would be in the first post of the thread, but at the top of the reply where it begins works too.
  9. A little spice is okay, but please take anything outright explicit to your DM's or other venue of preference. Fade to black is preferred for content on the server.

Canon Restrictions

While all things are possible in Star Trek, our play space is a little more limited and so there are some rules about what people can play.

  1. Please do not play canon characters as player characters. You are welcome to mention them as is appropriate, ex. maybe your character shared a class at the Academy with a canon character or was taught by them. Maybe you served on a ship with them or fought in a battle where they were. That sort of thing is fine, but if you want to play someone or their relative, please talk to the mods about it.
  2. We ask that the species you pick to play and the ships you make are appropriate for the location/era that you are playing in.
  3. Currently we are asking people to not play changelings. Thank you for understanding.

Shared Spaces

Some of our play areas are for specific Starbases we have made just for the server.

  • Starbase 123 – Also known as “Callisto Station”, Starbase 123 is located in the Beta Quadrant and is part of the Prime universe. This is our first and main shared port of call as of writing this.

Wiki

You are welcome and encouraged to help us maintain the wiki, but there are some rules to keep things in order.

Please see the wiki guide for more information about editing the wiki.

  • Griefing pages will never be tolerated. This is a one-strike policy and includes any malicious edits or additions. If caught doing this you will be banned from the wiki and all roleplay activities, and possibly the discord itself. And you will be caught, we log all changes to the wiki.
  • If you've accidentally edited something or put it in the wrong place, that's fine! Please contact the mods and we'll see about fixing it.
  • When adding new additions, please put them in the right namespace, this will help you because the template should auto-populate the create new page form when you load it.
  • When it comes to other people's characters and creations, you may submit them to the wiki if they allow for that however do not alter the information they provide when you do.
