Born and raised on the [[https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Bajoran|Bajoran]] colony of [[https://memory-beta.fandom.com/wiki/Pillagra|Pillagra]] with her brother [[:people:rimameer|R'ima]], L'Rissa inherited their parents' ship, the [[https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Raven_type|Raven-type]] Caitian Merchant Ship (CMS) Hara, shortly before meeting [[:people:medsaatan|Med'sa Atan]], who was visiting at the request of the colony leaders to resolve a dispute with off-worlders claiming habitation rights on the planet. Following a successful resolution to that incident, L'Rissa joined Merrwin Galactic Adventures and she and Med'sa were married.
